Twin responses, anxiety and outrage, have become all too common in our public life, neither of which leads us closer to the peace of Christ. I ask that you read what follows slowly and attentively, resisting these twin temptations.

Hello and Happy 2026! I’m curious, have you ever wanted to see into the future to know what would happen? There have been times when I wished God would have given me foreknowledge before an event happened, so I would have responded with more grace and mercy, and less drama – and angst! But I have always believed that while prophecy is still possible and important to pay attention to – knowing the future is best entrusted to God’s will and sovereignty.

This past summer, the Diocese hosted it’s first Preaching Cohort. The cohort provided a supportive, practical, and encouraging environment where newly ordained (or soon-to-be ordained) participants sharpened their preaching, built meaningful relationships, and left renewed in confidence and calling.

The Disability & the Church Conference returns April 21–23, 2026, in Washington, D.C., bringing church leaders together to equip the local church to become a place of belonging for individuals and families impacted by disability, mental health, and trauma.

On Sunday, January 4, Incarnation Anglican (Arlandria, VA) commissioned its church plant, Church of the Holy Comforter (Hyattsville, MD), led by the Reverend Katie Hamlin.

The Life Forum 2026 is hosted by Anglicans For Life and is designed for ministry leaders, lay people, and anyone interested in understanding what Scripture teaches us about the inherent dignity of life. This year’s theme is Thinking Biblically about Bioethics. Life Forum will consider how the evolving landscape of secular life ethics collides with Christian morals, and introduce you to a new resource in the Church that can equip you to provide pastoral guidance on the issues that confront people in the pew.
