Since our founding as a diocese in the Anglican Church in North America, the Diocese of the Mid- Atlantic has partnered with local congregations, lay groups and clergy to plant new churches throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. We have had an exciting few years! Since 2021, the diocese has assisted in planting eight new churches:

  • Since 2021, we have planted:

  • All Souls-Richmond VA

  • Christ Church Vienna-Spanish speaking congregation

  • Christ the Redeemer- Dillsburg, PA

  • Corpus Christi-Springfield, VA

  • Good Shepherd-Charlottesville, VA

  • Holy Comforter-Hyattsville, MD

  • Resurrection-Midlothian, VA

  • St. Andrews-Frederick MD

  • St. Barnabas-Towson MD

  • Trinity-Burke, VA.

For 2026, we are in conversation about three new church plants.

The GCC offers church plants grants for church planting assessment and training, their general budget, coaching and back office support in year one.

A generous donor has pledged to give $2 for every $1 raised by the diocese up to $100,000. Please make a contribution!
