BEHIND THE MEANING

Why Rooted?

"That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith... that you, being rooted and grounded in love... may be filled with all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:17-19

In a season of change, I've been reminded that roots are not the end of the story, but rather they are how we come to be filled. Our strength as a diocese comes not from our own efforts, but from being held fast in Christ, together, deep enough to receive all he has for us. I hope you'll join me to pray, to listen, and to be filled afresh, as one family, with the fullness of God, and for the sake of the world.

-THE RT. REV. CHRIS WARNER

“Gracious and everliving Father, you have given the Holy Spirit to abide with us for ever: Bless, we pray, with the Holy Spirit’s grace and presence, the Bishop(s), Priests, Deacons, and all the Laity who assemble in your Name; that your Church, being preserved in true faith and godly discipline, may fulfill the will of him who loved her and gave himself for her, your Son Jesus Christ our Savior; who now lives and reigns with you and the same Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.”
