In our own communities and beyond, there are many places where this calling meets real human need
What if a tattoo is an invitation to hear someone's story? At Incarnation Anglican Church in Williamsburg, Fr. John introduced a simple but powerful approach to evangelism, one that begins with curiosity, compassion, and listening. The evening sparked meaningful conversations and offered a new way to see and love our neighbors.
Imagine the shock of the small group of men aged 16 to 67 from Epiphany, Immanuel in Woodbridge, and Shepherd's Heart in Fairfax when I told them that our mystery guest would be our bishop.
From first-time Bible recipients to answered prayers from the year before, God was at work as church members shared the hope of Christ with their community.

Most of the time, we do it quietly. There isn’t much upside to talking about your weakness as a pastor unless you can show how God has powerfully resolved it, or at the very least how your faith has been strengthened on the journey.
The goal of Ad Fontes at Trinity Anglican Seminary is threefold:
to promote theological education as an integral component of ministerial life
to cultivate pastoral formation through robust networks of friendship and mutual mentoring
to develop a distinctively Anglican theological, spiritual, and pastoral identity that supports unity across dioceses
After seven years of coming up short, the boys staged an incredible last-day comeback in All Saints’ Anglican Church's annual VBS school supply challenge, earning bragging rights, a pie in the associate rector's face, and, most importantly, lots of school supplies for two local Title I elementary schools.
We thank God for the ordination of Robert Pusey to the sacred order of deacons on June 14 at Christ the King Anglican Church in Alexandria, VA.
Grace Anglican Church in Winchester, Virginia, celebrated another successful Annual Clothing and Stuff Giveaway, welcoming its largest turnout ever.
On the evening of June 4, 2026, Bishop Chris Warner instituted The Rev. Dr. John Gullett as Rector at Incarnation Anglican Church in Williamsburg, VA.
There are also many instances in which Anglican congregations were sold buildings at significantly below-market value by churches seeking to preserve Christian worship at their historic sites.
God's work was carried out through every talented, joyful, and faithful volunteer. There are no lesser roles at ResCamp, and God used every humble servant, from those helping to maintain safety, to those vacuuming the floor at the end of the day, to those sitting on the sidelines with a troubled youngster.
The many reports about the good Kingdom work happening throughout the church both at home and abroad was encouraging, and even with honest acknowledgment of real challenges there was a sense of hope and strategy in addressing those realities head on with God’s help.
ARDF is connecting with church partners on the ground in order to mobilize to support earthquake-affected families and communities in Venezuela.
Recently, I had the privilege of traveling to Kenya with a remarkable clergy and lay team from DOMA (several off their testimonies are included in this installment of the Messenger). Once again, I was reminded that the Kingdom of God is far larger, more vibrant, and more powerful than we often imagine.
All Saints’ Church (Woodbridge, VA) partnered with WTGS Radio (a local Christian radio station) to host a fun-filled community ice cream outreach event. Neighbors gathered for an afternoon of music, games, prizes, and, of course, free ice cream!

This is how discipleship works. Someone shared the gospel with you. Someone invested in your faith. Jesus now calls you to do the same for someone else. The Christian life was never intended to stop with you or me.
For Pentecost, Beach Church intentionally highlighted the international nature of the feast: that in Christ, we are one family, gathered from every nation and culture, praising one Lord in many languages and traditions.
Pentecost at Redeemer was marked by vibrant worship, joyful traditions, and the baptism of a new believer into the Body of Christ.
