Great Commission Committee

Church planting in the diocese is guided by the Canon for Church Planting and a group of dedicated volunteers, clergy and lay persons, who are passionate about the vision of starting new churches. This group, called the Great Commission Committee (GCC), is responsible for creating a missional ecosystem in the diocese in which multiplication and growth of new churches can be consistently nurtured. The purpose of the GCC can easily summarized as:

  • Making Disciples

  • Developing Leaders

  • Planting Churches

  • The Rev. Tuck Bartholomew, Chair
    The Rev. Patrick Cunningham
    The Rev. David Hanke
    Mr. Don Holt
    The Rev. Tim Howe
    The Rev. Dan Marotta
    The Rev. Pamela Meeks
    The Rev. Amy Rowe
    The Rev. Michael Seawright

There shall be a Great Commission Committee, the membership of which shall be determined by the Bishop with the advice of the Standing Committee.
