Confirmations around the Diocese

Last Sunday, Corpus Christ Anglican Church held our annual outdoor Pentecost service. 

Brothers and sisters, keep praying and pray specifically. The Lord hears our prayers!

In March, the youth of Corpus Christi Anglican Church in Springfield, VA came together for a hands-on service project that combined practical skills with meaningful outreach.

Before the solemn season of Lent begins, churches across the diocese marked Shrove Tuesday with pancakes, fellowship, and plenty of syrup.

When snow and ice covered the region in January, churches across the Diocese stepped up, shovels in hand, to serve their neighbors.

Our mission is to invite disconnected people into a family that follows Jesus, is formed by Jesus, and overflows with the love of Jesus—and this event was a beautiful expression of that overflowing love in action!

This year Corpus Christi Anglican Church (Franconia, VA) held our third annual pool party at one of our member's community pools. We had our best turnout in the last three years (and the weather was amazing).

What if Jesus really meant that we are to love our neighbors?

All ages at Corpus Christi in Springfield, VA, together focus on fasting, almsgiving, and prayer this Lent.

As we enter into Lent 2025, I want to encourage us to keep our rhythms of daily prayer using the Book of Common Prayer. And, I want to encourage us this Lent to return often to the beautiful and challenging Confession and Litany of Penitence that we pray during Ash Wednesday.

Simeon's prophecy about Christ's light going to the Gentiles is tethered to a prophecy about the pain that the Blessed Virgin Mary will experience in her son's life and ministry.

Multiple generations of from Corpus Christi Anglican Church served their neighbors experiencing housing insecurity.

This year our older youth led an outreach event where we sold Christmas trees to give a percentage of the sales to the Ecumenical Community Housing Organization (ECHO).

In celebration of the Feast Day of St. Francis, many churches around the Diocese offered their communities an opportunity to participate in a pet blessing.

This was my first opportunity to attend the provincial assembly. I was privileged to serve as a delegate and as a subdeacon in the opening Eucharist.
