Building Community Through Little League 🌱
by Morgan Reed
Corpus Christi Anglican Church in Springfield, VA is always looking for ways to help people in our community move from strangers to neighbors and from neighbors to friends. Ultimately, friendships create spaces for Jesus to be shared and known as people experience Christ in us. For the last two seasons we have sponsored a team at the Central Springfield Little League and provided them volunteers. I love that several of the folks in our church (myself included) coach local youth sports. They are making an impact in kids' lives more than they often realize and they are grounding our church in what is happening in the community. My prayer is that these opportunities help our neighbors know that we are a church who cares for what is happening in the community and that our service leads to the friendships that bring curiosity about life in Christ.
Brothers and sisters, keep praying and pray specifically. The Lord hears our prayers!
