GAFCON Sunday, 28 June 2026, is an opportunity to stand with us — to pray and give generously as we work to keep the Bible at the heart of a truly Global Anglican Communion.

Bp. Julian Dobbs (Dean of the Province) and Bp. Paul Donison (General Secretary of the Global Anglican Communion) recently hosted a virtual conversation and Q&A about the recent G26 conference and the Abuja Affirmation. 

We should approach such matters neither with fear nor with triumphalism, but with the steady confidence that the Lord continues to guide His Church.

One of the blessings of these (international) gatherings is the opportunity to reconnect with friends from across the globe one rarely gets to see. The Nigerian music team that led us each day was the same group that led Gafcon III in Jerusalem in 2018.

The Kigali Commitment (2023) asserts that the primates who align with the statement “represent the overwhelming majority (estimated at 85%) of Anglicans worldwide.” The accuracy of this number has been publicly challenged, and so an explanation is in order.

My prayer for the Anglican Communion and my prayer for our diocese comes from Titus 2:11-14: “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.
