In addition to the Easter Triduum services of Holy Week, many churches around the Diocese are offering a variety of unique ways to experience the Stations or Way of the Cross, for all ages, many of which can be done virtually and at your own pace.

Easter is coming!

Yes I know, we’ve just begun the Season of Lent. But Easter is only a month away. Easter is the most important event of our church year. It’s the day we celebrate the best news in the world — that forgiveness is real, death is defeated, the restoration of all things has begun, and eternal life is available through faith in Jesus Christ!

During Lent, All Souls in Richmond, VA had art installed over the altar. You can read about it here. For Easter, the artwork was transformed.

This was our first Holy Week as a new church plant and we had the joy and privilege of joining with our friends at All Saints' Church to celebrate the Triduum jointly. As I have been thinking back to a few of the highlights of that week, there are three that come to mind.

On Saturday, March 27, children from Incarnation Church in Williamsburg, VA gathered at a neighborhood clubhouse to paint "resurrection" eggs and decorate an "Alleluia" banner for the children's classroom.
