October 26 @ 8:30 p.m.

A letter from Heather Adams, Registrar for DOMA
I believe the Lord has told me it’s time to retire. This has been such a wonderful job. I consider it an honor and a privilege to have worked with such a godly group of people. When I look back over the years, I’m so thankful to God for all He has done in developing our diocese.
A Logo Story: Church of the Good Shepherd (Charlottesville, VA)
Church of the Good Shepherd is an Anglican church plant in Charlottesville, Virginia. We are a community seeking to grow into Christ’s likeness for the glory of God, for the abundance of our own lives, and for the good of our neighbors.
A Letter from Canon Tuck (October 2023A)
You are likely familiar with Archbishop William Temple’s famous words, “The Church is the only institution that exists primarily for the benefit of those who are not its members.” We plastered that quote on our church website in Philadelphia. It inspires, it calls, and it convicts us to chew on what it means – practically. Honestly, 17 years later I wonder if we ever really plumbed the depths of that powerful assertion. It still feels far more aspirational than anything we ever realized.
Bike, Band and Burger, Bash!
Do you enjoy good music, food and fun for the entire family? Do you have an old bike that’s needing a tune up, or perhaps looking for a new-used bike?
Gospel Formation
A better, fuller understanding of the Christian life would mean recognizing that every man, woman, and child in the Church has a missionary calling and is to live with a missional “lens” through which they see every aspect of their lives.
Building Bridges Toward Extended Family
This has been the heart and vision of our church, Christ Church Vienna, as we have taken prayerful, consistent and intentional steps toward knowing and inviting our Spanish-speaking neighbors here in Vienna into our lives and into the life of our church. Ultimately our prayer is that Jesus would take the different groups that exist in our community that are all too easily divided, isolated and unknown one to another, and reconcile us to himself to create something new as we are all welcomed into one extended family, with Christ as our head.
Back to School with Joy and Enthusiasm for Adult English students and teachers!
We wish we could communicate the joy in our classes as we teach, learn, laugh, and enjoy community. Our students come from the Middle East, Asia, South America, and Central America with the majority being Spanish speakers from Bolivia and Guatemala.

Trinity Burke: Public Worship Starting Soon
f you have been following the journey of Trinity Burke (or any of the other DOMA church plants), you may know that it takes the support of the saints to plant a church: time, finances, prayer, and partnership. This Diocese has an incredible amount of supporters in every possible way. Thank you for your faithfulness.
October Frederick Anglican Fellowship
On Sunday, October 1, we marked the anniversary of our very first monthly service in downtown Frederick. Father Charles Glantzberg kindly came to celebrate the Holy Eucharist with us, followed by a delicious brunch at a member’s home nearby. It’s a blessed milestone, even though we look forward to the day when we will have a priest/planter to lead us and the opportunity to grow into a more fully-formed church.

A Letter from Bishop Chris (September 2023B)
I have two things that are uppermost in my mind as I write to you today. The first has to do with an emerging sense of vision that I’m seeing for our diocese and our churches. The second is related to the book of Revelation and Hispanic Heritage month.
