New Wineskins: Through a Lens
by Heidi Reichert
Below is a selection of photos from the New Wineskins Conference. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as one of the photographers. Even from behind the lens, I experienced the Holy Spirit at work. One of the challenges of New Wineskins is that so many incredible things happen all at once! As I moved from one session to another, capturing moments across the conference, I couldn’t always pause to fully take it in—but I certainly absorbed and appreciated as much as I could.
My personal highlights from New Wineskins include:
hugging the necks of friends from around the province whom I typically only see in virtual meetings
attending the ARDF field trip to “mission central” used for deploying volunteers to help with ongoing recovery from Hurricane Helene
witnessing the extraordinary children and youth program
enjoying prayer and worship through art
participating in worship led by the team from Restoration (Arlington, VA)
seeing so many familiar faces from across the Diocese as participants, volunteers, intercessors, worship leaders, and speakers
I hope this selection of images below reflects some of the joy and inspiration I experienced during my week at New Wineskins—from the pre-conferences to the final session.
(p.s. Until the rest of the recordings are available, take a moment to enjoy the worship and encouragement from Archbishop Steve, and other speakers, by watching the recording of the final plenary session here.)

This photo selection includes images taken by both me and Joy Hunter, Communications for the Diocese of South Carolina, during the New Wineskins Conference. I hope you spot some familiar faces from the Diocese among them!
