Family Fun Nights at Epiphany

by Peter Frank

How do you give elementary kids a chance to keep up with their Sunday school lessons and see each other when coming to church on Sunday morning and meeting inside isn’t possible?  At Epiphany, the Rev. Pamela Meeks has pioneered a weekly outdoor “Family Fun Night” that brings kids and their families together under the trees next to our building.  Kids learn and play GaGa Ball together.  Their parents and bring folding chairs and chat in the parking lot.  It’s a small beginning, but also and a safe and simple way for Epiphany families to be together and continue discipling the next generation of believers.

The Rev. Peter Frank is the Rector at Church of the Epiphany in Chantilly, VA.
