ResCamp Illuminate: Shining a Light on Who Jesus Really Is

by Claire Trainor

ResCamp 2026 (Church of the Resurrection, Baltimore, MD) was a powerful, spirit-filled week it has been! Each day, around 400 people, including 275 Campers and Jr. Crew Leaders, swarmed our church for ResCamp Illuminate: Shining a Light on Who Jesus Really Is. Through games, activities, skits, and all sorts of fun, the message of Jesus’ power and love was on full display.

Every day this week, we saw God answer prayers! Crew Leaders formed relationships with families, Jr. Crew Leaders modeled servant leadership for Campers, and every moment was Gospel-saturated. This year, we learned that Jesus is the all-powerful Son of God. He came to shine a light on God’s great love for us, and to show us our desperate need for His grace. Praise the Lord that we no longer have to walk in darkness!

God's work was carried out through every talented, joyful, and faithful volunteer. There are no lesser roles at ResCamp, and God used every humble servant, from those helping to maintain safety, to those vacuuming the floor at the end of the day, to those sitting on the sidelines with a troubled youngster.

Well done, Res Community. All Glory to God!
