Celebrating Rogation Sunday

Rogation Sunday and the three subsequent Rogation Days commemorate Jesus’ final days on earth before His Ascension. These days focus on the earth, the work of agriculture, and our dependence on God.

On Rogation Sunday, we are especially reminded to abide in Christ the Vine, to receive His love, and to bear fruit through love for one another.

For this most recent Rogation Sunday (May 25), Church of the Redeemer in Camden, NC began a new tradition: an Outdoor Eucharist Service, organized by their outreach team. The event welcomed a new visitor—who has already returned for another service!

Following the service, a church member prepared delicious box lunches for everyone to enjoy in the church’s picnic area. The event was a joyful success, and Redeemer has decided to make it tradition.
