Catechism in Family Prayer
"This is an excellent way for families to not only pray together, but also to learn the basics of the faith together. It's simple and profound. It's biblical and prayerful." --Archbishop Foley Beach
A Message from the Bishop - November 2021A
Hezekiah and Josiah show us that when hearts are turned back to the Lord and to his Word, transformation—even of an entire nation—can follow. Let’s resist the lure of hopelessness and complacency and rise up in prayer for God to move in power to renew both the Church and our society.
Go to Church – for your Health?
If church attendance is so good for us physically and spiritually, why is it so hard for us sometimes (even without a pandemic)? Well, both Christian and secular culture have been on a decades long quest for the benefits of church without the commitments that go with it.
The Gifts of Giving Thanks
Christ has secured this for us in the cross, pronounced even our weakest efforts to give thanks to God as worthy by triumphing over death, and receives our thanksgiving and praise as he sits enthroned at the right hand of God. This is our confidence to approach the Father and give Him our thanks.
Student Leadership Network
The Next Generation Leadership Initiative (NGLI) exists to assist dioceses and parishes in the work of developing the next generation of leaders, both lay and ordained. Our mission is to discover, develop, and deploy leaders and ministry resources for the Anglican Church in North America.
A Message from the Bishop - October 2021A
Have you noticed that some days you might be surrounded by chaos and face crisis upon crisis, yet you experience the supernatural joy of the Lord in the midst of it all? And then there are other days, when outwardly things are smooth sailing, but inside you’re a wreck?
Questions in the Dark
But what happens when life is disappointing and we experience loss and trials? Do we think that God is good and faithful even in the midst of that? Can we trust that God has a plan to redeem the awful stuff in our lives?
A Message from the Bishop - Sept. 2021
The Bible has tremendously good news for us about our money and how we use it.

Celebrating the Gift of Work: A Devotional for Labor Day
Celebrate the gift of work, and the gift of human labor - knowing that in the Lord, God has established the work of our hands - our labor is not in vain.
Essential Christianity
The Christian Faith is exceedingly beautiful, expansive, and compelling. Sometimes, though, its beauty gets obscured or dulled in our minds and hearts. "Essential Christianity" is a 9-week, online course taught by Rev. Bill Haley meant to bring us back in touch with the expansive beauty of the Christian Story.
The Golden Rule Is Worth Its Weight in Platinum
So, how should Christians respond to the rising popularity of the Platinum Rule? Obviously, I don’t think we want to say that Jesus’ words can be improved upon. How can we “honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks [us] for a reason for the hope that is in [us]?” (1 Peter 3:15)
Summer Internship Reflection
My earliest memory is of Anglican liturgy. As a five-year-old, I was captivated by the way people closed their eyes with their hands lifted as they prayed “Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts,” how they raised their voices in agreement with lectionary readings, how their heads bowed in confession, and how they knelt humbly during the Lord’s Prayer.

The classes will feature live teaching and videos, opportunity for discussion and sharing, and corporate prayer time. The class is open to all who profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Holy Spirit (Leesburg, VA) invites you to a study of “The Screwtape Letters.” We will work through the book and study guide together focusing on how to better understand the strategies and tactics of our spiritual enemy.
Do Not Despise the Day of Small Things
We must learn to be faithful in what God has given us. We must be faithful and true in our smallness. For this is where the Lord has placed us at this time and here, we are to rejoice and give thanks.
Camp Booyah: A Transformative Experience for Teens
Camp Booyah was founded in 2015 as a place for Anglican middle and high school students to come together for worship, community, and mission. Two hundred eighteen campers from 18 churches spent the week making connections with other Anglican youth, going deeper in their faith, contributing to the local community and experiencing new adventures.
