Christ the Savior

Christ the Savior Anglican Church (CtS), Glen Burnie, held its third annual Christmas Dinner Outreach on Saturday, December 6. While open to everyone in the area, this outreach is targeted for “those who have met God in church basements rather than in church pews.” In other words, CtS targets this (and most) outreach to those in the Recovery Community. As in the past, a wonderful dinner was served. Christmas movie trivia garnered great participation, with prizes provided by local businesses, and a presentation of the Christmas narrative rounded off the evening. This year CtS used a Christmas Lessons and Carols format. Those in attendance loved hearing how that format was developed to “keep the men out of the pubs” on Christmas Eve.
At the end of the evening the Holy Spirit fell over the room as we concluded by singing “Silent Night.” Person after person remarked on how blessed they were by their time spent at the outreach dinner. Our attendance has grown over the last three years, and we a re exploring a possible move into the Arbutus community. I invite you to be praying for us with regard to that move!
