Repairing Homes and Lives in Western North Carolina

ARDF Disaster Relief Mission Trip, February 22-27, 2026 

A team of 12 members returned to Western North Carolina (WNC) to continue home repairs from unprecedented flooding due to Tropical Storm Helene in September 2024. The team included eight members from Truro Church, a member from Church of the Apostles, two from Church of the Resurrection in Raleigh, NC, and one from St. Andrews in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Several of the team members were truly disaster relief veterans, having served in one (or more) of the five previous ARDF trips to WNC. Several of the members, including some veterans, had no experience in the assigned construction tasks, but eagerly embraced the ARDF guiding value We Do Uncomfortable
