Anglicans for Life Prayer Calendar (Oct - Dec)

You are encouraged to join the many who pray for the Anglicans for Life ministry. Multiple times a year, Deacon Georgette Forney sends out a letter with prayer needs along with a prayer calendar. See the most recent letter and calendar here and request to be added on the mailing list here.

From Deacon Georgette:

As we began planning this last Prayer Calendar for 2025, we all commented on how crazy this year has been. It’s been filled with many joys but also with way too many sad and awful events, especially last week when we observed the 24th anniversary of 9/11, saw a woman stabbed to death on public transit, witnessed another school shooting in Colorado, and a young Christian man who proclaimed the Gospel in the context of cultural craziness was assassinated.

Our country, families, and workplaces need prayer and intercession more than ever as we see evil becoming more and more bold. The good news is that people are waking up to the evil acts and are calling them out for what they are – to the point that a secular news show identified last weeks actions as ‘acts of evil’ live on national television!

I want to thank you and affirm you as an intercessory prayer warrior, as you truly are on the front line in this spiritual battle of good versus evil. Now more than ever, the time you spend praying for Anglicans For Life® and the many other people and needs I know you pray for, is critical in ensuring God’s ministry and love can continue to be proclaimed. God is using your prayers to keep back the powers of darkness as the battle for life ramps up across the United States and beyond. Please don’t ever let the events of the day discourage you from doing what God has called you to – praying for His Kingdom work!

In spite of spiritual warfare and the challenges of this year, we have also seen many prayers answered…

  • I got the two additional articles I was responsible to write for the New Anglican Bioethics Center website completed before my vacation. We now have 9 articles completed with more in the pipeline! Please continue to pray for the authors of these challenging bioethical topics!

  • The World’s Largest Baby Shower was another massive success and I invite you to view the video that highlights all the wonderful blessings that more than 30 churches donated to pregnancy centers to help hundreds of moms and babies at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gN_OabdoEBE&t=1s

  • A draft of the Strategic Plan was approved by the AFL Board of Directors recently, and now we ask for your prayers as we establish budgets, due dates, and staff assignments for each goal.

  • Details for the January 2026 events have been finalized so real planning and promotion can begin. Please ask the Lord to increase the number of people attending these events so they will be educated and equipped to inform others about the bioethical threats to life.

Finally, one additional special prayer that wasn’t included in the calendar – please ask the Lord to bring a new “Social Media/Content Creator” employee to work for AFL. Sydney, who had worked with us for the past two years, left us to start her own business, (may the Lord bless her new endeavor as well)! Currently, Anna, Kristen, and I are trying to fill her shoes and keep our presence on social media growing.

In closing, I am reminded of Oswald Chambers teaching from My Utmost for His Highest, We are not sent to battle for God, but to be used by God in His battlings. [Jan.18] Your prayers are being used by God to protect life. Thank you.
