Our retreat theme was joy, based on Paul’s Letter to the Philippians. John Yates of The Falls Church Anglican gave a powerful keynote address, and then nine clergy and spouses offered short talks on different facets of the theme: joy in the spiritual life, joy in the midst of pain, joy in a broken world.
