The Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic continues to grow and expand. At their May meeting, the Standing Committee voted to accept the applications of both Christ Church Vienna and Church of the Good Shepherd Lynchburg to join the diocese.

Twenty years after the return of the Jews into Judah after the Babylonian Exile, discouragement had set in. The great rejoicing at their homecoming - the hopes of establishing the temple and worship and reclaiming the promised land had all stalled. Instead only the foundation had been laid and the Jews faced strong opposition.

You may have noticed that we've been running "Save the Date" announcements for the ACNA Provincial Assembly coming up June 6-9, 2012 in Ridgecrest, North Carolina. During the week of the Provincial Assembly, the Archbishop's Cabinet and Executive Committee will meet on June 4, followed by the College of Bishops on June 5. The Provincial Assembly then kicks off the following day on Wednesday, June 6.
